Black Ribbon was founded by two entrepreneurial women who empower each other in life. The brand, based in Istanbul, presented its first collection to fashion enthusiasts in 2020.

Tuğba Yıldırım brought her extensive 20-year retail industry experience into the development and positioning of the Black Ribbon brand.

Müge Alkan, after earning her degree in women's fashion in London and completing a ceramics art degree in Istanbul, contributed her 15 years of design expertise to Black Ribbon's collections.

Sharing a passion for fashion and materials that can be shaped into art, they both fell under the captivating charm of bags, leading them to establish the Black Ribbon brand.

The brand launched with a versatile collection featuring designs suitable for every occasion from daytime to evening, city to beach. Its distinctive range, from micro to maxi silhouettes, stands out with simplicity. The iconic Black Ribbon symbolizes women's inner strength, becoming the signature of their inspiring story.
